We offer bio-sourced accommodation (wood - straw - clay) for outstanding thermal, hygrometric and acoustic comfort, giving you a real sense of well-being.

Orientation
The house faces due south to benefit from the warmth of the sun in winter, while the terrace is sheltered from the summer sun and from overheating by a roof/terrace designed to follow the rotation of the sun

Water
Roof water is collected in a 10,000-litre tank and, after passing through a triple filter (activated carbon, sand and UV lamp), the water is used to supply the toilets and the garden tap.

Heating
Heating is provided by an airtight log-burning stove from the nearby Anlier forest, and infra-red panels in the bathrooms, both of which provide radiant heat that is much more comfortable and healthy than convection.

Electricity
PV panels will be installed in October 2023 to produce a large proportion of the electricity needed for household appliances and the thermodynamic boilers responsible for producing domestic hot water.

Rubbish
Recycling bins are available in the storeroom and there is a compost bin in the garden for disposing of organic waste.

Local products
Local traders and craftsmen who use environmentally-friendly production or manufacturing techniques and healthy products are promoted by signs inside the gîte, and are also advised and explained at reception and during your stay.
